The Indianapolis Colts say they’re moving their training camp from Terre Haute to Anderson, Ind. Team president Bill Polian said Wednesday the site for the 2010 camp will be at Anderson University. Camp runs Aug. 1-18. Polian says the team is excited about returning to Anderson. The Colts held their training camp in Anderson for 15 years.

Vikings | Ryan Longwell unlikely to handle kickoffs

Minnesota Vikings PK Ryan Longwell is unlikely to handle kickoff duties for the first time in his 14-year NFL career, reports Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. PK Rhys Lloyd will likely handle kickoff duties next season. Longwel said, “It’s odd. As I’ve told all of you guys it wasn’t like I asked to not do it and it’s not like I prefer not doing it. It’s definitely something that I’ve never had to deal with before. We kicked off yesterday and I was with the [second] team. It’s just something that you’ve got to kind of take it a day at a time and we have a long ways between now and the final roster and we have a long ways between now and the 45-[man] active roster. So you just kind of let it play out and see how it goes.” Longwell said he likes to kickoff in outdoor games in part because it helps him get a better feel for the wind patterns and what the ball might do on a field-goal attempt.
